If you have not read it, I highly recommend a short book by David Webb called The Great Taking. He was so committed to getting his message out he not only offered it as a purchased book but also a free PDF download. https://docplayer.net/234739593-The-great-taking-david-rogers-webb.html It very clearly spells out why taking on - any - debt at this time is going to be disastrous. The trap is about to be sprung.

Thank you very much for your writing. It’s a great comfort and contrast to all the upheaval and gathering clouds. God has become the only respite of peace. Is there really any choice?

And I have a weird story, too, about a car. A year ago, I had a friend in a desperate circumstance. She really needed a reliable car to help her family. Her budget and reliable were not in the same universe. At the end of the day we were at the last dealer and there was a car just sitting there. My friend told them she would pay no more than what she had - and they gave it to her. It was such a good deal, I was afraid something was wrong with it but it’s been great. I would have thought it was an impossible quest. She also has the same aversion to debt. Very few people do.

I really appreciate your writings because I find the Bible pretty confusing and difficult to interpret. There is one passage that I see repeated often on the internet and wonder if you could comment on it. It has something to do with people being changed in an instant. I wonder if this has anything to do with genetic modification. It freaks me out because it’s looking like we don’t have a choice in the matter if they’re spraying the skies and polluting water and food stuffs.

I am assuming that you are referring to this passage.

1Co 15:50-54 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

This scripture is referring to us being changed when Christ comes for His followers. We will be given new resurrected bodies. This is a very good thing.

If you want to understand the scriptures, set other things aside and ask God to show you His heart. My mom was a bank teller. They taught her that the way you recognize a counterfeit bill was to study the real thing. They would never acquaint them with counterfeits. Spend time focused on the teachings of Christ. Forget commentaries and other helps. Just humble yourself and ask your Heavenly Father to help you understand.

If you feel edified by someone’s teachings like mine, still take time to look up the different passages and make sure the things I am am sharing are true.

To some extent the scriptures do need to be interpreted, but not as much as people what to believe they do. Adam and Eve were told not to eat from a certain tree. Satan came along and threw a bunch of confusion into their minds, trying to convince them they had not understood, or interpreted what God had said correctly. It actually was pretty simple, they were just told not to eat from that certain tree. Jesus's teachings are not really hard to understand, especially for a child, they are just often hard to accept.

Be really careful what you spend time watching and listening to. There is truth in some of the conspiracy stuff that is out there, but it doesn’t edify and draw you closer to the Lord. I can hear the anxiousness in your spirit as you write. I have stepped away from the news and social media the past six months, and I haven’t missed a thing. We need to make sure we have our rest and peace in the Lord. God bless you as you seek Him!

What is your take on Leviticus 25? I have followed this for 20 years and it has saved my bacon many times.

Yes! That’s exactly it! But including more than I’ve read. Thank you for spelling it out. And thank you for your words of wisdom. It’s really true - and very comforting.
